KABALE -St. Maria Goretti Nursery and Preparatory School has recorded outstanding performance in the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), with all candidates attaining high grades.
According to the headteacher, Sr. Marina Lobul, out of the 77 registered learners who sat for the examinations, 54 obtained Division One while 23 attained Division Two. The last candidate scored 16 aggregates.
She noted that although Social Studies proved to be a difficult subject that affected many learners countrywide, the school’s overall performance was commendable.
Sr. Marina attributed the success to strong faith in God Almighty and the cooperation between the school administration, teachers, and parents.“Our good performance is a result of trusting in God and the teamwork among staff, administration, and parents,” she said.
She further explained that close supervision of teachers has motivated them to work harder, which has positively impacted learners’ performance.
She also praised the dedication of self-driven teachers, the strong School Management Committee, and the active involvement of parents in supporting their children’s education.

Meanwhile, Bishop Asili Primary School also registered excellent results in the same examinations. Out of the 97 candidates registered, 92 obtained First Grade while 5 attained Division Two. Among the candidates, three scored 4 aggregates and twelve obtained 5 aggregates, while the rest posted strong results.
The headteacher of Bishop Asili Primary School, Sr. Margaret Tusiime, attributed the success to faith in God and cooperation among staff and administrators.
“Every success comes from God Almighty. These results are also due to unity and cooperation among our teachers and school administration,” she said.
