Hon. Wilfred Niwagaba Urges Buhara Residents to Cooperate with SINO MINERALS for Fair Compensation

KABALE -The Ndorwa County East Member of Parliament, Hon. Wilfred Niwagaba, has called on residents of Buhara Sub-County to cooperate with SINO MINERALS Company Limited in resolving compensation matters related to land earmarked for the establishment of an iron ore factory in Buhara Parish.

Speaking during during induction service of Ven Johnson Twongyeirwe the new archdeacon for St Peter’s Muyebe Archdeaconary in Buhara sub-county Kabale District, Hon. Niwagaba emphasized the importance of reaching an amicable agreement with the company to ensure fair compensation and foster development in the area highlighting that the government is keen on supporting industrialization projects like the proposed iron ore factory, which promises to bring significant economic benefits to the region, including job creation and infrastructure development cautioning residents against delaying negotiations or rejecting reasonable offers from the company, could lead to government intervention through the Chief Government Valuer to assess your land interests explaining which unfortunately the valuations are often very low compared to what private companies may offer, urging constituents to seize this opportunity, accept the compensation, and use it to improve your livelihoods.

SINO MINERALS Company Limited has been conducting iron ore activities in Buhara sub-county and now preparation for the construction of the factory a project that is expected to boost the local economy by tapping into the region’s mineral resources and creating employment opportunities for the youths.
