Kabale MP Hopeful Dan Nabaasa Donates Water to Support Youth Athletes in National Championship

Kabale, Uganda – May 8, 2025-Dan Nabaasa, a parliamentary hopeful for Kabale Municipality, has extended support to young athletes participating in the Uganda National Kids Athletics and Special Needs Learners’ Championship by donating 30 cartons of bottled water to the Kabale Municipality athletics team.

The championship, which is currently underway at Kigezi High School Primary – Lower Section, has drawn participants from across the country. The donation was delivered to the athletes’ camp at the school and was warmly received by the team and organizers.

In a message delivered on his behalf by Sunday Andrew, a teacher at Brainstorm High School in Kabale, Nabaasa commended the young athletes for their dedication and urged them to remain humble, disciplined, and focused throughout the competition.

“I encourage you to keep your heads high, stay united as a team, and remember that success comes from humility and perseverance,” the message read.

Beyond the donation, Nabaasa used the opportunity to rally support from the youth, calling on them to encourage their parents and guardians to back his bid for Member of Parliament for Kabale Municipality.

“I stand for a Kabale that uplifts its youth and invests in their future. Together, we can bring lasting development to our communities,” his message added.

The championship not only promotes athletic talent among children and learners with special needs but also fosters inclusion, teamwork, and community engagement.

The Kabale Municipality athletics team expressed gratitude and promised to give their best during the national.
