Kabale Municipality MP Hopeful Advocates for Mandatory Health Insurance and Education Service Scheme

Kabale, Uganda — In a bid to enhance the welfare of Ugandans, Hon. Alex Edgar Muhwezi, a hopeful candidate for Member of Parliament representing Kabale Municipality, has called on the government to implement mandatory health insurance services for all citizens also proposing education service scheme aimed at providing university students with practical working experience funded by the government as a requirement in today’s field of employment opportunities.

During a recent public address at Rutooma Catholic Church in Kabale municipality, Hon. Muhwezi emphasized the critical need for accessible healthcare across the nation saying Health is a fundamental right, and every Ugandan deserves access to quality medical services without financial barriers.

Muhwezi adds that mandatory health insurance would ensure that all citizens receive necessary medical care, reducing the burden of out-of-pocket expenses and improving overall public health outcomes.

In addition to healthcare reforms, Hon. Muhwezi highlighted the importance of equipping university students with practical skills before they enter the workforce suggesting a government-funded education service scheme that would offer internships and hands-on training opportunities where our graduates must be prepared for the challenges of the job market and by investing in their practical education, we are investing in the future of our country.
