Minister Bahati applauds Bishop Rubaramira for steering development at 50 years of Priesthood

KABALE -Marking 50 years of Priesthood of Rt. Rev Bishop Callist Rubaramira at Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushorooza Cathedral in Kabale municipality, the Uganda’s State Minister for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon. Min David Bahati, who is also the Ndorwa West Member of Parliament and the NRM Chairman for Kabale District during the ceremony, commended Bishop Rubaramira for his leadership in promoting unity and socio-economic transformation in the region through establishing projects that have supported economic development not only in Kabale Diocese but also in the broader region.

The ceremony that was presided over by Bishop Callist Rubaramira and officiated by HE. the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda Maj RTD Jesca Alupo, Minister Bahati, applauded Bishop Rubaramira for being significant figure in the region and an ally to the current government led by Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni where Out of Bishop Rubaramira’s 50 years of priesthood, he has supported NRM government for 39 years, since he became bishop in 1975 saying this celebration is a testament and a dedication to serving the community and his commitment to the development of the region.

Archbishop Mbarara Archdiocese The Most Rev Lambert Beinomugisha while preaching described the Bishop Rubaramira’s 50-year commitment to serving the Lord and His people as a testament to his steadfast faith and dedication noting that Bishop Rubaramira’s wise leadership has shaped countless individuals, families, and communities into devoted followers of Christ.

Archbishop Beinomugisha further praised the Bishop’s exemplary life and ministry, stating that he remains a revered role model and source of inspiration to both clergy and laity emphasizing that Bishop Rubaramira’s journey reflects the transformative power of faith and selfless service.
