Rukiga District’s FDC Party Chairman Mbareba Condemns Govt’s ‘Rebirth of Past Injustices’

RUKIGA –Michael Kwarikunda Mbareba, the FDC chairman for Rukiga District, has urged the government to show compassion and prevent the shame of setting a terrible precedent should Besigye die in prison.

While speaking to thefoxguard.news ,Mbareba who is also vying for the Rukiga district LC5 Chairperson seat emphasized the need for respect of law, truth, and justice for all Ugandans, regardless of their beliefs. He criticized the NRM government for rebirth-ing the past injustices they once condemned.

“They can no longer lecture us about Idi Amin, Obote, or colonialism, as they are now perpetuating the same injustices,” Mbareba said. He drew parallels between the government’s disregard for the Supreme Court ruling and the murder of Benedicto Kiwanuka, a former chief justice who was killed for his righteous rulings.

Mbareba called upon all peace-loving Ugandans to unite and demand freedom for Besigye and other political prisoners.

He encouraged citizens to use various platforms such as radio, social media, and phone calls to advocate for their release and uphold the rule of law.
