Rukungiri, Uganda — Married couples have been urged to build strong and lasting relationships grounded in love, respect, and cooperation within their families.
The message was delivered by Jallon Atusinguza, a Venerable Captain from Rubirizi Archdeaconry, during the wedding ceremony of Asaph Nabimanya and Doreen Kirabo. The ceremony was held at Nyakinengo Church of Uganda in Nyakinengo Parish, Nyakagyeme Sub-county, Rukungiri District.
In his sermon, Rev. Atusinguza called on couples to love and respect one another in accordance with God’s teachings, noting that these values are essential for building strong and lasting marriages. He urged the groom, Asaph, to love his wife wholeheartedly, describing love as the foundation of a successful and healthy relationship.
He also encouraged the bride, Doreen, to respect her husband, emphasizing that mutual respect and appreciation are key to a fulfilling married life.
The father of the groom, Obed Tumwebaze of Nyakinengo Church of Uganda Parish, expressed gratitude to Rev. Atusinguza for his guidance on marriage. He also thanked friends and family members for supporting the wedding and pledged continued support to the newlywed couple.
Meanwhile, the couple, Asaph Nabimanya and Doreen Kirabo, exchanged heartfelt vows, promising to remain committed to each other, protect their marriage, and uphold love and respect throughout their lifetime.
The ceremony highlighted the importance of faith, unity, and shared responsibility in building stable families and communities.
