KABALE –Visually impaired students passed Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) Examination at Hornby Girls High School in Kabale municipality in the recently released exams.
The school teaches girls and visually impaired boys produced good results with their best student Akatwijuka Godwin with 16 points who has visual challenges. With their second visually impaired student by the names of Arineitwe Justus scoring 13 points.
Aturebire George Tumusiime the school headteacher attributes the performance of the visually impaired students to concentration in class.
He added that they are not tempted by the worldly things because of their disability which gives them much time to focus on their studies.
He further said that their teachers are trained to handle them which gives them a conducive environment.
