RUKUNGIRI -William Ngabirano has officially been nominated to contest for the position of District Councilor representing Bugangari Subcounty, signaling his entry into the political race with a promise of transformative and development-oriented leadership.
Speaking to reporters shortly after his nomination yesterday, Ngabirano expressed a strong commitment to address the pressing challenges facing the people of Bugangari.
He described his nomination as a moment filled with hope and dedication to serve.
“The people of Bugangari deserve better services, improved infrastructure, and real opportunities for youth employment,” Ngabirano stated.
“I am ready to offer leadership that brings results, not just promises.”
Ngabirano emphasized that Bugangari Subcounty is grappling with critical issues such as lack of electricity, clean water, and poor road networks problems he says can only be solved through proactive and people-centered leadership.
“As someone who has practiced law and defended rights, I understand the value of justice and equality,” he added.
“I will be a voice for the people, advocating for their rights and freedoms at all levels of governance.”
The aspiring councilor also called on the public, especially the youth, to engage actively in the leadership process and support candidates who focus on tangible development.
He pledged to champion youth empowerment through talent development, job creation, and skills training initiatives.
“The youth are the backbone of Bugangari’s future. We must invest in their potential,” Ngabirano said.
“We need leaders who not only talk but act leaders who understand the daily struggles and are ready to address them.”
Ngabirano concluded by urging the people of Bugangari to remain peaceful, united, and focused as the election season unfolds.
His entry into the race is expected to shake up the political landscape of Bugangari Subcounty, with residents now watching closely as campaigns begin to gain momentum.
